I was introduced to these by my brother and his family…
The kids always ask for these.
1 lb. Fresh green beans
8 strips of Bacon
3 tbls. Butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 tbls soy sauce
- Place beans in a large sauce pan and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil and cook uncovered for about 8 minutes
- Wrap about 8-10 beans in each bacon strip and place into an ungreased baking dish
- In a small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, garlic salt and soy sauce
- Brush sauce over bundles
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until bacon is crisp
I generally just blanch the beans in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes
as I like them a bit more crispy. I also use pre-cooked bacon from Costco to
save some time and mess.
